• 1924 — Andrew Tweet Sr. and his brother Pat Tweet form Tweet Brothers Plumbing and Heating.
  • 1955 — Andrew Tweet Jr. joins the family business.
  • 1979 — Tweet/Garot is formed by the merger of Tweet Brothers Plumbing and Heating (est. 1924), Edward Garot & Son Plumbing and Heating (est. 1897), and Withbroe Sheet Metal (est. 1923). This single-source for plumbing, heating, sheet metal, and service moves into a new 34,000-square-foot fabrication, warehouse, and office facility.
  • 1984 — Timothy Howald becomes CEO after the untimely passing of Andrew Tweet, Jr., and oversees all corporate operations along with Mike Sturdivant and Tom Brawner.
  • 1985 — Successful completion of major paper machine rebuild in Peshtigo, WI, begins series of pulp & paper projects in Central Wisconsin.
  • 1994 — Tweet/Garot opens office and fabrication facility in Wisconsin Rapids, WI.
  • 1996 — Expansion of Service Department enhances mechanical service capabilities with the update of technology and addition of more vehicles, equipment, and highly trained technicians.
  • 1997 — Installation of Lambeau Field hydronic heating system under the playing surface to maintain optimum grass growing conditions even during winter.
  • Early 2000s — Computerized estimating and CAD drafting capabilities become state-of-the-art; computer networking is a part of everyday business; and computerized duct-making machinery for fabricating both rectangular and round ductwork is added to increase shop efficiency, enhance quality, and lower delivered cost.
  • 2001-2003 — Lambeau Field redevelopment project completed. Tweet/Garot is honored to be the Official Mechanical Contractor of Lambeau Field.
  • 2005-2006 — Duct coordination drawings and 3D modeling provides more cost-effective mechanical systems, including automatic downloading of information to all duct fabrication machinery. This leads to Tweet/Garot’s leadership in the Virtual Design methodology currently being utilized on most projects of significance.
  • 2008 — Tweet/Garot installs a field heating system at Target Field for the Minnesota Twins.
  • 2011 — Tweet/Garot tops out at 350 employees.
  • 2012 — Ray Withbroe named as Tweet/Garot President/Chief Operating Officer. Christopher Howald returns to Green Bay and is named as Vice-President of Administration.
  • 2015 — Tweet/Garot updates its mission and vision statements. Tim Howald ascends to Chairman role; Christopher Howald assumes new position as CEO; Ray Withbroe is President; and Hope Voigt becomes COO.
  • 2016 — Employees now total 700+; new training and wellness programs introduced; intern program helps recruit the best and brightest to assure continued state-of-the-art customer service and cutting-edge technology.
  • 2017 — Set to open a new 60,000-square-foot corporate office building in De Pere, WI. Plans to break ground on a new 80,000-square-foot manufacturing facility in Green Bay.
