Sheet Metal Pre-Apprentice - Green Bay & Central Wisconsin Locations

Job Description:

Summary:

Assist Sheet Metal Journeymen and Apprentices in performing duties as directed by supervisor, to include training in shop fabrication processes and job site installations within union contract. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

To include the following; other duties may be assigned: 

  • Assist in fabrication and installation of sheet metal products
  • Work with journeymen and apprentices to construct fabrications from drawings
  • Learn to use burn tables, press breaks, shears, rollers and grinders
  • Assemble and disassemble scaffold
  • Assist in cutting, measuring and assembling sheet metal products
  • Deliver material to job sites
  • Assist in the loading, unloading, and organized storage of materials
  • Maintain a LEAN working environment
  • Grind and de-burr materials
  • Other duties may be assigned in accordance with the local union bargaining agreement

 



Qualifications:
  • High School diploma or equivalent GED
  • Ability to work with mathematical concepts
  • Ability to lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch and/or crawl
  • Conscientious and safety-minded attitude
  • Valid driver’s license with good driving record; able to complete a drug test and background screening after offer is made

Steamfitter Pre-Apprentice - Green Bay & Central Wisconsin locations

Job Description:

Summary:

Director of Central Wisconsin Accounts (Wisconsin Rapids)

Job Description:

Summary:

Plans, organizes, and directs all activities for a department of account managers at the management level; responsible for achievement of overall corporate objectives at the department level; oversees the market and sales of the department in order to grow at an acceptable rate; responsible for budget and profit/loss of organizational department.



Qualifications:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Works with the Vice President – Regional Operations to set up and implement strategy for the department.
  • Organizes, measures, and staffs key office and field positions to support overall department goals and objectives.
  • Schedules, assigns, and directs the work of department staff; responsible for all personnel transactions such as hiring, defining functions and responsibilities, training and development, performance reviews, transfers, promotions, etc.
  • Determines scope of department work activities or projects, job objectives, schedules, budget considerations, and personnel assignments; reviews and monitors department status and progress.
  • Meets all safety and compliance requirements
  • Monitors overall quantity and quality of work performed by staff; implements company standards and procedures.
  • Performs and directs research and client contacts to identify potential projects (customers), and gains admittance to bidder’s lists; maintains an effective business development program, securing new work on a routine basis.
  • May act as senior professional within the department providing input as the technical specialist of the department.
  • Maintains positive financial posture for the department and monitors cost analysis activities on a routine basis.
  • Acts as a liaison and provides technical support to other departments or offices, as required.
  • Affiliations with MCAA on a local and national level; involvement with local unions.
  • Maintains a positive team environment including interfacing with other managers.
  • Assumes additional responsibilities as directed by the Regional Vice President.

 Skills/Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering or other construction-related degrees or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 5 years of experience managing mechanical construction and/or fabrication projects
  • Minimum 5 years of experience managing personnel
  • Experience initiating department changes and leading a team who implements those changes
  • Individual with established relationships with local customers and vendors is preferred
  • Must have strong proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel
  • Must have good written and oral communication skills

Construction Project Manager

Job Description:

Summary:

Plans, directs and coordinates the activities of assigned projects to ensure that goals and objectives of the project are accomplished within the prescribed time frame and budget parameters as dictated by the project contract.

 Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Plans and directs the operations required for the completion of assigned projects within budget, customer requirements and timelines.
  • Directs field personnel and subcontractors in planning and executing the work procedures, interprets specifications and coordinates various phases of construction to prevent delays.
  • Inspects work in progress to ensure workmanship conforms to specifications and adherence to construction schedules per assigned projects.
  • Prepares billing projections for assigned construction projects, based on project completion schedule and review the projections for all other projects.
  • Prepares project status reports for compliance with company standards, customer contract requirements and other related specifications.
  • Prepares labor projections and requirements of field personnel.
  • Communicates professionally, attends meetings and interacts with owners as necessary.
  • Consults with architects, engineers and other technical workers to ensure that design intentions are met
  • Simultaneously manages projects while maintaining strong attention to detail and organization for creating reports and establishing project budgets.
  • Reads P&ID’s, orthographic and isometric piping drawings.
  • Uses Microsoft Office suite and scheduling software (Suretrak and MS Project).


Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or related mechanical field experience of 5 years minimum
  • Must have a minimum of 5 years experience managing industrial piping projects (i.e. pulp and paper, biofuel and power generation)
  • Must be highly organized, detail oriented, and have excellent interpersonal skills
  • Must have thorough knowledge of construction processes ad management techniques
  • Must have strong proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel; scheduling software
  • Must have good written and oral communication skills
  • Confidentiality and integrity is a must
  • Travel may be required
  • Valid driver’s license
