Position Summary:
The Manufacturing Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the manufacturing floor, working directly with the shop foreman, ensuring the efficient, safe, and high-quality production of products. This role includes managing and leading a team of employees from multiple trades, ensuring compliance with company standards, optimizing manufacturing processes, and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
Duties and Responsibilities:

Leadership
• Supervise, coach, mentor, and evaluate shop foreman, fostering a collaborative and efficient work environment
• Foster a positive, team-oriented culture, promoting open communication, and continuous feedback.
• Lead and support cross-functional teams in identifying and implementing Lean manufacturing principles for process improvement.

Strategy
• Monitor production performance, identify areas for improvement and implement solutions to achieve operational goals.
• Drive the execution of production schedules, ensuring alignment with customer demand and business priorities.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve technical issues and enhance manufacturing capabilities.
• Create, track, and report key performance indicators (KPIs).

Execution
• Supervise and coordinate the activities of employees to ensure efficient, on-time production of high-quality products.
• Ensure all manufacturing processes are performed according to safety and quality standards.
• Perform regular audits of production activities to ensure key deliverables are met.
• Oversee inventory management, working closely with the supply chain team to maintain appropriate stock levels.
• Support change management initiatives by facilitating the implementation of new technologies and processes to drive efficiency and improvement
• Conduct regular safety audits, inspections, and risk assessments to identify and address potential hazards

Preferred Minimum Knowledge, Experience & Skills Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing, Engineering, Business, or a related field with a minimum of three years of experience in manufacturing or production supervision.
• Proven leadership experience, with the ability to motivate, mentor, and guide teams in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency in MRP/ERP systems, with SAP experience preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office
• Knowledge in process design, optimization, and Lean manufacturing principles (Six Sigma, Kaizen, 5S, etc.).
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to lead and work effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Highly organized, proactive, and results-driven, with a demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines.
