Position Summary:
The Bid Manager will oversee the entire bid process to secure new contracts and business opportunities. This role will provide management supporting the get work strategy during the pursuit phase on multiple bids, proposals, and design build projects. Responsible to lead the end-to-end bid process using strong project management practices, defining timelines, assigning responsibilities, and ensuring milestones are met on schedule.

Duties and Responsibilities:
• Facilitate bid kickoff meetings by setting clear expectations, assigning responsibilities, and outlining follow-up actions to ensure alignment from the start.
• Identify and propose RFI questions during the bid phase
• Determine strategic advantages per project to implement during bid creation
• Value Engineering ideation, conceptualization, and pricing quantification
• Coordinate vendor pricing solicitations by overseeing the materials and equipment, verifying bidding statuses and scopes, confirming competitor involvement, and formulating pricing strategies that incorporate applicable discounts.
• Coordinate subcontractor pricing solicitations by verifying bidding status and scope, confirming competitor participation, and developing pricing strategies that include applicable discounts.
• Quantify and validate General Conditions, Rentals, and remaining items outside of labor and material takeoff.
• Apply for target funds across all trades.
• Manage Bid Bond applications as needed per bid.
• Lead bid review meetings.
• Bid assembly – (Final CTS).
• Scope letter creation and completion.
• Creation and completion of proposals and bid forms.
• Manage and submit bids to customers.
• Customer communication and post bid follow-up.
• Recognition of competitors during the pursuit phase.
• Ensuring bid meets material and equipment specifications.
• Ensuring bid fulfills all scope and schedule requirements.
• Provide support on customer Yearly Prequals.
• Provide support and input for the Pursuit Meeting.
• Download Documents from various sources (procore, building connected, state websites, etc.), Create Project Hub, add documents add Addendums.
• Provide support in creating/updating Take-off Schedule Huddle .
• Manage Intent to bid notifications to external customers.
• Provide support for job specific prequalification.
• Update Building Connected documentation, invitations, and bid status.

Preferred Minimum Knowledge, Experience & Skills Requirements:
• 5+ years of experience in the commercial/industrial construction industry.
• 1+ years of working with project management tools (preferred experience with BidTracer, Viewpoint, Bluebeam).
• Ability to handle multiple projects and support multiple project managers with minimum supervision.
• Exceptional skills in time management, organization and attention to detail.
• Must have strong skills in MS Office.
• Must have good written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to work well with all levels of management and staff including outside clients, vendors and subcontractors.
• Sensitivity to confidential information.
