This Bellin Courtyard project was more than just a facelift – it changed the footprint of Bellin Hospital and redefined their image by relocating the main entrance and lobby.
This project consisted of the demolition of the North and East wings of the existing hospital and the construction of a four-story, 165,000 square foot building complete with all hospital systems and a fifth-floor mechanical room.
The project was done in phases without disrupting normal hospital operations while integrating the new courtyard building into the existing hospital systems and floor heights. Systems in the demolished wings had to be severed from the remaining structure, re-routed, and then re-attached to bring the new structure to life.
Tweet/Garot provided HVAC and Plumbing Contracting (including medical gases) as well as Design/Assist services throughout this project, all while maintaining uninterrupted patient services and the flow of the existing facility.
