Uninstalled dust collector outside of KPS plant

KPS Decommissioning Project Phase 1

Tweet/Garot was chosen as the design/build contractor for the ventilation system in the decommissioning of the Kewaunee Nuclear plant. The project required a 70,000 CFM ventilation system with HEPA filters and a dust collection system.

The space allocated for the equipment was a compact space, posing significant design and installation challenges. Our diverse team of craftsmen tackled these obstacles, fabricating and installing the 10 GA 124″x178″ duct required for the ventilation system.

This project followed a fast-paced schedule with a range of different challenges including poor weather. Our team worked diligently to install this large duct and equipment on time while also keeping safety a top priority for our team and the other trades working around us, resulting in zero injuries on site.
