This is a 97,500 sq.ft. bed tower addition for MyMichigan Health Systems located in Alpena, MI. Tweet/Garot was brought on board as the design-assist partner after the original project came in over budget. We worked with the construction manager and the owner to get the scope of the work defined back into MyMichigan Health’s budget.

The three-floor addition consisted of operating rooms, a sterile processing department, prep/recovery rooms, labor/delivery rooms, isolation rooms, and standard patient rooms.

Some challenges from this project were the fast-paced schedule which included substantial pre-fabrication work. Despite these challenges, we were able to deliver a final product that left our customer satisfied.
