The 61,000 square foot building was constructed for a joint venture between Orthopedic Associates of Wausau and Wausau Surgery Center. The building was set to consist of medical offices, clinical space, and an ambulatory surgery center. Tweet/Garot was contracted for the HVAC scope of the project due to a previous successful job with the general contractor.
This project saw two new foremen be successful on their first large job, great cooperation between Tweet/Garot and our subcontractors, and fantastic pre-fabrication from our Wisconsin Rapids Manufacturing Facility. Still, challenges were faced on the project that required the Tweet/Garot team to be flexible. A need for increased sheet metal manpower proved to be challenging in a market with labor shortages. Initial drawings required modifications to be made onsite in order to ensure all tradeswork was able to be installed in the given spaces.
Despite the challenges faced, this project was able to be completed in a timely matter and to the customer’s satisfaction. In addition, there were no injuries, a testament to good leadership and Tweet/Garot’s safety practices.
