Clintonville had undertaken an expansion project for their high school, allowing the revamped facility to be shared with middle schoolers. The former middle school underwent a complete renovation alongside of the high school, transforming it into the brand-new elementary school for the school district.
Before the transformation could be fully realized, the facility required essential upgrades, including comprehensive classroom renovations and the installation of an air conditioning system, as the building had previously been lacking this crucial feature. Tweet/Garot, who had already been involved in the high school renovation, was awarded the contract for the HVAC portion of the project in order to complete this task.
A range of major equipment, including six rooftop units, two air handlers, eight exhaust fans, and an exterior air-cooled chiller, among others, was installed to ensure optimal air conditioning throughout the facility.
This project was not without its challenges. Integrating the HVAC system with the existing mechanical systems posed a considerable obstacle. In addition, the project had a stringent timeline, and unforeseen equipment delays added to the pressure of meeting the customer’s schedule. Nonetheless, the dedicated team at Tweet/Garot demonstrated remarkable adaptability, successfully overcoming these hurdles, to meet the customer’s timeline and deliver an HVAC system that met the customer’s expectations.
