Tweet/Garot has been a family-owned mechanical contracting business for over 120 years. Beyond simply designing and building high-quality mechanical solutions, our industry-best workforce provides a complete commitment to each project and extraordinary customer service.
Tweet/Garot design teams continue to push limits of technology within the construction industry. We have created the ability to provide a more detailed mechanical concept model to our construction partners with less information, and in record times.
With nearly 155,000 square feet of prefabrication space, our customers are confident in our ability to not only reduce our man-hours on site and reduce transportation costs, but also help shorten the time required to complete our critical, preliminary work.
Tweet/Garot is dedicated to providing our clients with a smarter, energy-efficient, and more comfortable facility, always functioning at peak performance.
Tweet/Garot specializes in—and is recognized for—our ability to work around our customers’ demanding schedules, no matter what market. We utilize fast-track construction methodology, virtual design technology, and continuous improvement in all that we do. Our clients know that Tweet/Garot thrives on solving challenges.
Sheet metal, Pipefitting and Service Technicians were involved on this project. This project included the replacement of major HVAC Equipment including RTU’s, Boilers, and Chillers. Modification of existing HVAC systems, equipment stands and openings were modified to accommodate new equipment. This required special craftsmanship. Duct cleaning of the existing systems was also part of this project in an effort to provide clean air to the casino patrons. Tweet/Garot installed Bipolar Ionization on new and existing equipment and added additional filtration for cigarette smoke.
Utilization of newly developed technology such as Bipolar Ionization added filtration to eliminate pathogens and bacteria. Tweet/Garot also replaced existing boilers with high energy efficient boilers for overall energy savings.
Challenges faced during this project included a short completion schedule. The funding for this project came with a firm deadline for work to be completed, basically use it or loss it. Due to past experiences, the customer knew that Tweet/Garot could complete this project on time.
Delayed project deliveries shortened the allotted installation time. In addition, boilers needed to be installed before cooler months which further tightened our project schedule.
Despite COVID-19 challenges on the jobsite, the field crew had zero reported injuries.
Gundlach Champion, Clean Air Services, S & T Electric, Automated Logic Controls and complete Cover for insulation were all on the project team. COVID-19 relief funds were used to finance this renovation.
