2022 marked Tweet/Garot Mechanical’s biggest group interns consisting of 17 people. This group is made up of 15 summer interns and two year-round interns. We thought it would be fun to offer an inside look at our interns lives and show what internships look like here at Tweet/Garot. Over the next two months our readers will see individual spotlights of all 17 interns, starting today with me.

Let me introduce myself: my name is Carter Larson, I’m a Marketing Intern and I’m from Green Bay, WI. I just finished up my freshman year at UW Madison where I’m currently majoring in general marketing. I really enjoy the digital side of marketing and have been deeply involved with the digital marketing tools we use here at Tweet/Garot such as our social media platforms and Tweet/Garot’s website. This is my first internship experience; however, I did have past work experience as a shift lead at a local fast-food restaurant.

I began my internship over my spring break and from there did a little bit of remote work during my second semester of college. I returned home from college mid-May, so I’ve been working for just over a month in Tweet/Garot’s De Pere office. Over my time here I’ve not only created our company’s Instagram account, but also have been helping manage our company’s social media accounts and website. I’ve attended a couple of events representing Tweet/Garot and helped the marketing team to reach our quarter 1 goals. Due to my interest in digital marketing, I would really like to have a good grasp on Tweet/Garot’s digital marketing tools during my internship and find the best strategies with these tools to increase brand awareness

When I’m not working, I like to work out, play basketball and football, play Xbox, watch sports, and hang out with my friends. I would say my music taste is very diverse, but my go-to artist would have to be Travis Scott and my favorite song would be 90210 by him. My favorite movie is Spider-Man: No Way Home, which was released just recently, and my favorite TV show is Stranger Things, which just had its 4th season premier two weeks ago. It’s very difficult for me to pick a favorite food because all food is my favorite, but if I had to choose one, I would say steak.
