Welcome back, this is Carter Larson here again to deliver another installation of the intern spotlight blog series. As we rapidly approach the conclusion of the internship program, we also are moving towards the conclusion of this blog series. Today’s spotlight is Lane Solberg, Tweet/Garot’s Estimating Intern from Brillion, WI. Lane recently graduated from Fox Valley Technical College where he majored in construction management. Lane told me he is specifically interested in estimating and is gaining an interest in virtual construction.

Before he came to work here at Tweet/Garot, Lane worked in concrete masonry during his summers in between college. During his time here, Lane has been working on several piping takeoffs for Brock and Mike, two of our full-time estimators here at Tweet/Garot. Lane hopes to gain a better understanding of the estimating process as a whole through his internship.

Outside of work, Lane enjoys going to the gym and working out, golfing, fishing, and hunting. Lane told me that he likes any song made by his favorite musical artist Luke Combs. Lane’s favorite movie is “Coach Carter”, and his favorite TV show is “All American”. Finally, Lane’s favorite food is anything Mexican but he’s especially fond of tacos, enchiladas, and quesadillas.
